娄师德 lóushīdé Lou Shide
Famous Tang dynasty official and general (630-699) known for his military success against the Tibetans and his remarkable patience and tolerance; he is the source of the idiom [[唾面自干|唾面自乾|tuo4 mian4 zi4 gan1]] for his advice to 'let spit dry on one's face' rather than wipe it off and offend the spitter.
