A mythical winged dragon from ancient Chinese legends, associated with water and rain. In mythology, this dragon assisted 黄帝 huáng​dì in defeating 蚩尤 chī​yóu and 夸父 kuā​fù, and also helped 大禹 dà​yǔ control the Great Flood by using its tail to carve out the paths of rivers.
