An influential female poet and musician (172–?) of the late Eastern Han dynasty, also known by her courtesy name [[蔡文姬|蔡文姬|cai4 wen2 ji1]]; she was the daughter of the scholar [[蔡邕|蔡邕|cai4 yong1]] and was famously ransomed from captivity among the Xiongnu by [[曹操|曹操|cao2 cao1]].
