The Buddhist bodhisattva of compassion, often called the Goddess of Mercy; a name indicating one who observes the world's sounds and perceives all things with freedom and without obstruction. Also known as 观世音菩萨 guān​shì​yīn​pú​sà or 观音 guān​yīn.
