陈继儒/ 陳繼儒 Chen Jiru
Chen Jiru (1558–1639), a Ming dynasty literatus, calligrapher, and painter from Huating (modern-day Songjiang, Shanghai). Known by the pseudonym Meigong, he excelled in landscape and ink-and-wash flower painting, notably plum blossoms and bamboo. He was a contemporary of 董其昌 and is famous for his essays and short prose collections.
